About H. Corinne Hewitt

Corinne Hewitt grew up on a farm north west of Manor, Saskatchewan, where she developed a deep appreciation for the rural prairie landscape and the people who live there. She has been passionate about reading and writing from an early age and always knew that she would someday write a historical romance. Her grandmother’s extensive knowledge of Saskatchewan history and her grandfather’s collection of antiques sparked an enduring love of history, especially near the turn of the century. Her grandmother worked at a historical park called, Cannington Manor for 18 years and Corinne would go there as a child and learn the ways of the pioneers.

In 2006 Corinne, her husband and children moved to Alberta. It was then that she decided to open her own quilt shop in Hanna, Alberta in 2009, as her other passion was sewing and quilting.

Corinne designs and makes quilt patterns, including Canadian patterns and has 40 patterns as of now. She has even designed patterns which pertain to her novel, “Jacob of Abbington Pickets.” Corinne also enjoyed sewing clothing for her children as they grew up, crocheting, and challenged herself to learn and play the fiddle which her grandfather gave her to hang on her wall, along with her other antiques. This talent lead to her forming The Happy Wanderers – an old tyme music band. Her four children; Chantal, Courtney, Jaymie and Joshua have grown up and moved away, giving her more time for writing and quilting.

Corinne lives just North East of Delia, Alberta with her husband, Kenny, two dogs, three cats, and ten miniature donkeys
